Youth Baseball and Softball

The mission of the Joppatowne Recreation Council Baseball / Softball program is to educate and train the youth of the community in the basic principles of Baseball and/or Softball and to promote a sense of responsibility and citizenship in youngsters using the games of baseball and softball as a vehicle.

Furthermore, to promote fair play, good sportsmanship and congenial fellowship, with adult leaders providing the example through baseball and softball leagues organized for the youth in the community.

The program serves approximately 400 children in the Joppatowne area and is open to girls and boys between the ages of 4 and 18.

Registrations begin in January and go through March.

Practices begin in April and the season games are played in May and June, usually ending around the time school lets out for the summer.

In addition to our "in house" recreation program, Joppatowne Baseball and Softball offers several travel teams allowing players to compete against teams throughout Baltimore and Harford Counties.
