JRC is a non-profit corporation, and not a part of local county or state government.  We serve the Joppatowne and surrounding community in Harford County, Maryland.  Our  council was formed to serve the community by providing recreational activities for both children and adults. The council members are strictly volunteers.

JRC does accept checks but does require a drivers license for verification.  JRC policy is to send one letter regarding dishonered check and if no response or payment, to turn the check over to Harford County State's Attorney Bad Check Restitution Program for collection and or prosecution.  JRC also charges a $25 returned check fee.  If your check is returned, JRC will not accept any more checks from the check maker for a period of two years, once the check is made good.
